Malcolm Nay, well known South African concert pianist and accompanist, fell down the stairs and was unable to teach his course 'Foundation Music Theory' at Wits University. Nay is due to return to work early next week. We wish him a speedy recovery.

In other news, the practice block in University Corner continues to be vanalised and robbed of piano stools. Recently, several doors in the block appear to be off their hinges, and one practice room is missing a piano. It is suspected that the notorious criminal 'The Blockbuster' may be responsible.
